I've always had a computer in my life.....always....first model was a PackardBell (do they even still make those?)
Anyway....i've always seen myself as pretty "technologically inclined" if you will......When blackplanet was hot I knew how to make all the cool background layouts and junk....add music....change colors...Myspace...same....then I kinda fell off ...but when I got my first PDA running Windows mobile I tricked it out....added all these little neat programs that everybodi wanted but nobodi had the pateince to sit down and figure out how to install....that crap wasn't hard...it just took wild time...and looking back on it I really didn't have a life anyway so who cared if I spent countless hours not being a productive member of society....to trick out a few "toys"....never wanted to do anything professionally dealing w/ computers...but it was a nice little hobby while i had it going...
The other thing I always did was write....always....I have the thick ugly black, green, and purple marbel composition notebooks to proove it.....I use to write down everything...I am/was (however u wanna look at it) an only child (spoiled? maybe....rotten...not yet :)...and I didn't generally have to worry about anybodi reading anything I wrote cuz my parental unit trusted my judgement enough to not think that I had any extra "foolishness and mayhem" going on behind the scenes....
So now you are wondering...1. Where is she going with this story? 2. Why do I care? or 3. Both
Well now...the meat and potatoes of this dinner as it were is simply to say that I never expected an age where computers would be depended on SO much for communication, especially by way of verse.... I would hear back in the day(that being like within the last year or so...) people talking about blogging and twittering and all of this foolishness and it kinda went in one ear and out of the other until I actually joined the twitter movement and discovered that it really isn't that bad...you just can't let the technology consume you...When you are spending most of the day on youtube...writing blogs about what you saw...and then twittering all evening about ur blog comments well then honey...yeah you need to go on and take a vacation...but if you can get a moment to take a break from reality and log onto the internet once in a while to twitter or chitter chatter with ppl across the nation on some common cause...or even just for your own peace of mind...then by all means do so....
In closing...I would like to say that I will try to embrace all of THIS....this entire movement as it were....i'm officially announcing that I'm on twitter....i hadn't said anything about it til now cuz I wasn't sure if I was going to commit to it enough to give anybodi a reason to follow me...but apparently i'm doing okay...i have followers so...take that for what it's worth....and I also have tonsillitis...which explains why I even was even able to sit down long enough to write this post....
Maybe more to come....maybe not...we'll see!
and... SCENE!
